The Catholic 101 seminars, hosted by the JPII Newman Center in partnership with the Evangelium Institute, are weekly seminars open to Catholic and non-Catholic college students as a way to learn more about our faith. If you are a college student in Omaha, you are welcome to come!

Catholic 101: Spring 2024 Semester

Catholic 101 walks through the basics of faith and the Catholic faith in particular. Semester 2 is focused on the liturgical life of the Church, particularly the role that sacraments play.

Catholic 201: Fall 2023 Semester

The focus of Catholic 201 is to cover Catholic Moral Theology at a basic but thorough level. Using Pope St. John Paul II’s approach to moral theology, attendees can expect an approach to this teaching from a personalist perspective always keeping the happiness of the human person at the center.


Catholic 201: Spring 2024 Semester

Semester 2 of Catholic 201 will continue the study of Moral Theology with a focus on the virtues and living them in daily life.

Catholic 101: Fall 2023 Semester

Catholic 101 walks through the basics of faith and the Catholic faith in particular. Semester 1 is focused on establishing the basic building blocks of Christianity, the person of Jesus, and the role of the Church.
