BE NOT AFRAID

DSC05766Be the first to experience the JPII Newman Center.

Through new friendships and new experiences, your faith and life will be forever impacted. Join us at the JPII Newman Center to keep your faith alive and to share it with others.

  • Sacraments
Encounter Christ and the word of the Gospel by attending daily and weekly Mass. Be a part of worship by volunteering as a greeter, an usher, a lector, an altar server or a musician.
  • Bible Studies
Take your relationship with Jesus Christ and fellow students one step further through weekly Bible studies. Newman Center space, including lounges and meeting rooms, is designed to encourage fellowship. Bible studies, both on- and off-site, will be more accessible to the greater Catholic community at the JPII Newman Center.
  • Formation
The JPII Newman Center will continue the tradition of providing regular opportunities for formation of the heart and the mind. Encounter speakers that will inspire you and help to shape your faith.
  • Vocations
With so many distracting voices in our world today, it can be difficult to discover our vocation, whether that be to marriage, priesthood or consecrated life. And yet we know that we are most happy and fulfilled when we embrace our vocation as a special gift from God. At the JPII Newman Center, through instruction in prayer, spiritual direction and regular access to the sacraments, all in the context of a loving and supportive environment, you will experience freedom and clarity in choosing your vocation in life.

“In the hidden recesses of the human heart the grace of a vocation takes the form of a dialogue. It is a dialogue between Christ and an individual, in which a personal invitation is given. Christ calls the person by name and says: ‘Come, follow me.’ This call, this mysterious inner voice of Christ, is heard most clearly in silence and prayer. Its acceptance is an act of faith.”

St. John Paul II, Homily, February 10, 1986

“Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid to welcome Christ and accept his power.”
St. John Paul II
