We opened our doors to students in 2016. What started out as a vision to house UNO’s Mav Catholic movement bloomed into a sanctuary for Catholic students from all of Omaha’s colleges and universities. The new building brought our mission out of the darkness into the light, and the fruits are remarkable. We couldn’t be prouder to proclaim our success!
Ministering to college students requires significant resources. The construction of our Center, Oratory and Newman Hall cost $25 million. Generous support from the Catholic community and the Archdiocese of Omaha offset more than $11 million of that expense. For our mission to thrive, we must address our cash flow shortfall by paying down our debt while continuing to fund our day-to-day operations. We are getting close to our goal.
