Thank you for your interest in living at the St. John Paul II Newman Center! Since the inception of JPII Newman, our desire is for our community to be a gift to college students in the Omaha area. JPII Newman Housing Assistance is an opportunity for JPII Newman to extend the gift of our community to those who may experience some financial hurdles to becoming a part of our Newman Hall community. With that in mind, please fill out this application honestly so we can do our best to determine what level of housing assistance we can offer to each applicant. Thank you! Here are the steps:

  1. Apply to live at JPII Newman (
  2. Express need for housing assistance.
  3. Before 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2021:
    • Submit this JPII Newman Housing Assistance application.
      • Be prepared to provide the following:
        • General Information
        • Academic Information
        • Financial Information
        • Answers to 3 brief essay questions
        • Student Budget Plan for 2021-2022 (download the template here)
    • Schedule an interview with Lauren Hankes, Resident Manager, to talk about both applications at Interviews are rolling and will be conducted from now until March 24, 2021.
    • Turn in a lease and security deposit for the 2021-2022 school year.


JPII Newman Housing Assistance applicants will be informed of the outcome by email after April 15, 2021.
