Student Leaders: We will be hosting a Safe Environment class here in the Newman Leadership Center. You should all be trained, so we encourage you to sign up! Some instructions for doing so:
Register through cmgconnect.org. Pick the Omaha diocese.
Complete all sections of the Registration Box: username/password, contact and profile information. Select “primary parish/school volunteering at”, which would be St. John Paul II Newman Center, choose your role, which would be “volunteer”. Click “register” to complete the account set up.
Then you will click “Start” for the SE Live Training & Background Check module. This takes a few minutes of going through the Archdiocese Code of Conduct, then you can RSVP for the live training. I’ve added the class, so pick the one here at JPII with Renee Hendricks as the contact on 11/10 at 1:00 pm. It says it’s a “closed” event but that’s just listed that way to give the student leaders here first dibs on signing up. The last step is consent for a background check.
Then come to class on 11/10!
