Hope of the Poor
Mexico City Mission & Pilgrimage May 19-23, 2024
Hope of the Poor serves some of the most forgotten, neglected, and abandoned people in Mexico City. This mission trip seeks to advance the ministry of Hope of the Poor with the poor in Mexico City. Hope of the Poor works under Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes and is an official apostolate of the Archdiocese of Mexico.
From the time of arrival in Mexico City until our departure, our mission will be hosted by Craig Johring. Craig has spent the past 18 years working with the poor in Mexico City and has hosted 3,000 people who have come on mission trips. We will stay in the guest rooms of a convent of Contemplative Sisters, located near the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In addition to the mission with the poor, this is also a pilgrimage and we will visit the Basilica on most days.
The total cost is $1,400 and includes flights, lodging, and meals.
